The May meeting at Grand River Raceway was a huge success – great food, good racing, and some great club phestivities! The Waterloo Region Parrotheads spurred “All Risque”, driven by Mark MacDonald, on to victory, and agreed to pose with him after the race. I’m not sure who was more excited…

(Thanks to Lee for the report and great pic’s of this spring’s roadside cleanup! Just in time for Earth Day)
At 10 a.m . a motley crew assembled at the corner of New Dundee Road and Fisher-Hallman to do the spring clean-up of our humble stretch of adopted regional road. Nor wanting to be tied to this group, Patti and Blair waited until we left the corner and then joined us!! With half the crew working east to west and the other half west to east we covered the entire 2.2 km stretch in a little over 2 hours. 15 bags of garbage and two road kills later we had completed our section of road. (ed’s note – none of the roadkill were parrotheads in orange vets. Hooray for that!)
Ian, Char, Johnno, Glenn and Theresa all headed back to Lee and Lu-Ann’s for cheeseburgers, dynamite cold slaw, fruit, brownies and assortment of beverages!
A grand time was had by all and at the very least New Dundee Road was left a little cleaner that it had been at 10:00 Saturday morning.
